Ingredient of the month - Plums

We love the sound of biting into a fresh, juicy plum’s deep purple skin. They’re one of our favourite stone-fruits, and we can’t get enough of them when they’re in-season. Which is why we’re all about savoury and sweet recipes that make the most of succulent in-season plums, down to the very last drop. Plums have a wide array of culinary pairings and are a versatile culinary ingredient with possible uses centuries old.

 

Wakatipu Grill, and Chef Grant, have created a mouth-watering 3-course menu, available for $75.

All dishes are also available to purchase individually.

 Entrée - Goats cheese mousse with plum, beetroot and blackberry ($23)

 Main - Plum glazed Bostock chicken breast, stuffed with brioche, tarragon and bacon served with chargrilled courgette, pumpkin and freekah  ($40)

Dessert - Plum and ricotta cannoli’s with macerated Damson plums ($18)

  In Stacks Pub, try the delicious Black doris plum & custard tart with plum crème fraiche ice cream dessert ($14)

 

 As well enjoy our Sweet- scented osmanthus and compote plum jelly with Vanilla ice-cream at Me&Mee ($33)
